Péter István Vedres is the head of the Sustainable Development Department at the Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Authority. He is an economic analyst and a specialized economist in energy management, having completed his studies at Corvinus University of Budapest. As department head, he oversees MEKH’s responsibilities related to energy efficiency and renewable energy. His tasks include the operational management and expansion of renewable electricity and renewable gas guarantee of origin systems. He has supported the introduction and implementation of the Energy Efficiency Obligation System from the very beginning.
